A grass fire spanning several acres at Pitt Meadows Regional Airport has been extinguished.

The fire started in the infield of the airport, between the runways, off Baynes Road around 1:oo p.m.
Jake Anzulovich, who works at a hanger at the airport, said flames were reaching 10 to 20 feet.
The Pitt Meadows fire department responded and the fire is now out. No one was injured, nor was any property damaged, according to the city.
