UPDATE: Mike Tracey was located in Langley at 6 p.m. Monday, according to Abbotsford Police. He is in good health and has been reunited with his family. No further details were provided.

Abbotsford Police are concerned about the disappearance of a father of two who has left behind no signs of where he might be.

Const. Ian MacDonald said Ian Michael Tracey, 43, has not been seen by his family since Friday morning nor by his co-workers since that afternoon.

MacDonald said the disappearance is “completely out of character” for Tracey, who has no history of medical or mental-health issues.

“This is a hard-working, straight-arrow kind of guy.”

MacDonald said Tracey’s wife of 25 years is frantic about the situation. Tracey, who goes by the first name “Mike,” has not used his credit card, accessed his bank accounts, or used his cellphone.

“We’ve picked up no signs of him,” MacDonald said.

Tracey, a house painter, left for work Friday morning in a 1997 Dodge Caravan (B.C. licence plate 563 FNG). He was working on a development project in the Fleetwood area of Surrey, and was seen by his co-workers until about 2:30 p.m. that day.

Tracey is 5′ 10″ and weighs 145 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes.

He wore grey shorts, a white T-shirt and black runners to work on Friday, but might have had a change of clothes in his van.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
