UPDATE: Missing Quebec woman found in Penticton but dehydrated

The 64-year-old was last seen on Upper Bench Road on July 17

Missing Quebec woman Jose Vaillancourt has been located today and is getting care after being missing overnight in Penticton.

“She was found safe but dehydrated. She was taken to the Penticton Regional Hospital for precaution,” said Sgt. Bob Vatamaniuck of the Penticton RCMP. “Thanks to everyone that gave this immediate attention, we truly appreciate your help.”

Penticton RCMP sent out a release Sunday morning asking for help from the public in locating Vaillancourt who has been missing since Saturday afternoon, July 17.

Vaillancourt is 64-years-old and last seen on July 17th at about 4:30 p.m. on Upper Bench Road near Penticton.

She is described as Caucasian, brown eyes, blond/brown shoulder length hair.

She is 5’3″ tall and 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey T-shirt and pink crocs. She also wears red eye-glasses. Vaillancourt is from Quebec but is bilingual. She is not familiar with the area and because of the high temperatures and her age police are concerned about her health and whereabouts.

If anyone has seen Jose since last night, or knows of her whereabouts now they are asked to contact police right away at 911 or 250-492-4300.
