A vehicle passes this cab just before nine a.m. on October 16

UPDATE: Nobody injured in morning accident on McBride in Prince Rupert

According to Cst. Matt Ericson of the Prince Rupert RCMP, nobody was seriously injured in this morning's accident on McBride.

UPDATE:

According to Cst. Matt Ericson of the Prince Rupert RCMP, nobody was seriously injured in this morning’s accident on McBride.

The accident occurred when the taxi driver stopped at a crosswalk for a pedestrian. The driver of the white truck was allegedly looking at a car entering McBride St., didn’t see the taxi stopped and struck the car.

The driver of the taxi was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Traffic on McBride Street in Prince Rupert ground to a halt this morning as emergency services attended to a major collision at the corner of 9th Avenue and McBride.

While RCMP have yet to release details of the incident, just before nine a.m. the scene included a Skeena Taxi cab with its rear-end collapsed up to the vehicle body and a white Dodge  truck with the front end caved in and glass and tire marks on the road.
