One person is dead following a single vehicle crash and fire on Highway 20 near Williams Lake Monday, June 28.
Williams Lake RCMP were called to the incident at 3:50 p.m.
“When police arrived, they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. When Williams Lake Fire Department were able to extinguish the flames, one person was discovered deceased in the vehicle,” said Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, North District RCMP NCO.
Highway 20 was closed to all traffic as investigators conducted the investigation, with a detour in place.
Highway 20 has since reopened.
Police continue to investigate to determine the causal factors in this crash.

Smoke could be seen from the Tribune just after 4 p.m., but it was gone by 4:15 p.m.
