One person was taken to hospital and about 1,500 homes were without power, while Lougheed Highway was shut down in both directions after a vehicle collided with a power pole Tuesday around noon.
Traffic began flowing agaib on the route around 2 p.m. Ridge Meadows RCMP announced there was one lane open westbound, and two eastbound.
The collision occurred just east of 216 Street. A metal lamp standard was down and a wooden hydro pole potentially energized.

Power has been restored to all area homes, according to B.C. Hydro.
