Update: Sunday, Sept. 30 9:45 a.m.

Saanich Police were on scene Sunday morning in the 3900-block of Carey Road investigating what they called “a serious incident” that sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.

Police, investigators and a forensic team were seen coming and going from a house in that block after they were called to the scene at 3:18 p.m Saturday. An active police scene, with the K-9 unit present for part of the investigation, shut the block down until late Saturday night.

Sunday morning, five houses along the street were still cordoned off with police tape. Debris that appeared to be the remnants of medical assistance could be seen strewn across one home’s driveway. In another yard, a tricycle sat in the morning rain.
