Update: Police report “physical altercation” during Langley gas station holdup (with video)

Incident on Glover Road involving armed robber draws massive police response

When a lone robber held up a Langley gas station, he got into a physical altercation with another person who was working there, police said.

The Sunday morning robbery drew a massive RCMP response, with multiple units called to the area of Glover Road and 216 Street around 8:16 a.m.

The suspect, described as a dark-haired male, about six feet tall, with a large build, 210 to 220 lbs., and dark hair.

He was wearing a mask and is alleged to have carried a gun, RCMP said.

According to the police report, during the holdup, there was a struggle, but no one was physically hurt.

A police dog was called in to carry out a search of the area around the Husky gas station.

One person who works in the area told The Times the owner, his wife and a customer were present when the holdup occurred.
