UPDATE: Port Alberni RCMP announce that missing woman has been found safe

A missing woman known to travel to Port Alberni, Tofino and Ahousat has been has been found safe.

Port Alberni RCMP announced that Maxine Thomas, 40 was located safe on Oct. 17.

“Police appreciate the response and assistance from the community in locating this person,” the Port Alberni RCMP detachment posted on Facebook.
