Update: Thursday March 15 8:30 a.m.
Salmon Arm RCMP report on March 14 at approximately 10 a.m. the Salmon Arm RCMP and Provincial Ambulance attended to a two-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Sandy Point Road.
The investigation at the scene revealed that a westbound yellow pick-up truck lost control on the freshly sanded road and crossed into the eastbound lanes.
As it entered into the eastbound lanes, an eastbound SUV collided with the truck, causing both vehicles to spin into the ditches on opposite sides of the road.
The female driver of the truck, a Salmon Arm resident, was transported to Shuswap Lake General Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
The female driver of the SUV and her male passenger, both also from Salmon Arm, were also transported to local hospital suffering from injuries.

A multi-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway has been reported west of Salmon Arm towards Glen Eden near Sandy Point Road.
A Silver SUV and a yellow pickup truck were both involved in the incident, ending up partially in the ditch on opposite sides of the highway after the collision.
Emergency crews are on site and traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway is moving in both directions, although delays should be expected as crews continue to work on scene.
One vehicle has been moved out of harm’s way, while work continues as tow trucks retrieve the second vehicle.
At least one occupant is being transported by ambulance crews.
