Highway 1 reopened late Tuesday night following a closure in both directions between Salmon Arm and Canoe.

Drive BC had reported there was a vehicle incident between 20th Avenue NE and 40th Ave NE with emergency vehicles on scene.

RCMP have not yet provided details on the vehicle crash.

UPDATE- CLOSED – #BCHwy1 – Vehicle incident has highway 1 closed in both direction between 20 Ave NE and 40 Ave NE in #SalmonArm.
No estimated time of opening. Detour via #BCHwy97B & #BCHwy97A.
