More than 2,700 customers were without power Friday morning (Jan. 29) following a motor vehicle collision in Chilliwack.
According to BC Hydro, the outage happened shortly before 8 a.m. and affected Fairfield Island, parts of downtown Chilliwack and the surrounding area.
As of 9:15 a.m., power had been restored most of the area, but 155 customers were still without power for several hours.
By 1:30 p.m., all power had been restored to the area.
Several traffic lights were also out as a result and drivers are reminded to use the four-way stop procedure at intersections where power is out.
