It was unknown immediately if there were any injuries, but the crash led to the power outage. A second vehicle in the area has had to stay on scene with the driver inside while Hydro crews work to deactivate the line.
BC Hydro said 1,209 customers were without power west of Camp River Road, north of Hillcrest Drive, east of Tower Road since 12:11 p.m.
By 2:30 p.m. the number without power was down to 365, with an estimated time for restoring power is 7:30 p.m.
More details will be reported as they become available.
