UPDATE: VicPD investigate serious collision between motorcycle and pedestrian in downtown Victoria

Police cordoned off area around Pandora and Douglas

Police are investigating a serious collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian in downtown Victoria Saturday night.

Just after 8:45 p.m. on Nov. 10, several 911 calls were received reporting that a motorcycle travelling west on Pandora Avenue collided with a pedestrian at the intersection of Pandora Avenue and Douglas Street.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Both rider and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle and were also transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

VicPD cordoned off the area around Pandora Avenue and Douglas Street rerouting traffic for hours.

Investigators are hoping to speak with several bystanders who helped the victims, including several off-duty doctors who came to the scene.

Those who helped, as well as those with information about this incident, who have not yet spoken with officers are asked to call the VicPD non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654.

VicPD Traffic officers, as well as detectives from our Major Crime Unit, continue their investigation to determine the contributing factors in this collision.
