The incident happened at around 11:20 a.m. in the parking lot of the Save-On-Foods location part of the University Heights mall at the corner of Shelbourne Street and McKenzie Avenue.
“The pedestrian was knocked over and hit her head on the ground,” said Sgt. Jereme Leslie.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with the investigators, he said.
Crews later transported the pedestrian to a local area hospital with what Leslie described as “non-life threatening injuries.” No charges are pending at this time, he said.
