Update: 3:30 p.m.
On April 3, at 1:06 p.m., the Kelowna RCMP Municipal Traffic Section responded to reports of a two vehicle injury collision at the intersection of Spall Road and Springfield Road in Kelowna, said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey of the Kelowna RCMP.
An independent witness at the scene told police that an east bound white Infiniti QX70 collided with a west bound grey Toyota Camry, which had been making a left turn from Springfield Road onto Spall Road. Both drivers and one passenger who each sustained, what are believed to be, non-life threatening injuries were medically assessed by emergency paramedics at the collision scene, said O’Donaghey.
Both vehicles sustained significant damages as a result of the crash.
The 77-year-old driver of the Toyota Camry was ticketed for allegedly failing to yield on a left turn.
Witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call the Kelowna RCMP Municipal Traffic Section at 250-762-3300.
