After scouring Elk Lake Monday evening and most of the day Tuesday in search of missing 28-year-old Saanich man, Tim Elliott, Saanich police have now confirmed that they have found his body.
Elliott had been missing since Saturday evening when he was last been seen at the dock leading into Elk Lake. This is where police divers recovered his body shortly after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Peninsula Emergency Measures Organization Search and Rescue was also at the scene assisting police and has been asking people to avoid the Bear Hill Road parking lot and to give emergency teams plenty of space to do their work.

Investigators are on scene and both Elliott’s family and the BC Coroners’ Service have been notified. No foul play is suspected.
