UPDATE:
After the mayor’s 3 p.m. phone call with the BC Wildfire Service and other experts, Mayor Bob Simpson tells the Observer:
“The fire behaviour has stabilized during the day, but it will be what it does this evening and overnight that matters most. So we are in a holding pattern at this time.”
The BC Wildfire Service is still estimating the Narcosli Creek Fire at 1,200 hectares and the Service’s interactive map say the fire is 31 kilometres southwest of Quesnel.
