UPDATED: A power outage at Okanagan College’s Vernon campus that occurred as the result of a B.C. Hydro equipment failure has been resolved and classes will resume as scheduled beginning at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Morning Classes are cancelled at the Vernon campus of Okanagan College this morning due to a a B.C. Hydro equipment failure affecting much of Coldstream. The campus will be temporarily closed until further notice.
A determination of whether classes will proceed this afternoon will be made as soon as possible. At this point, B.C. Hydro estimates a 4 p.m. return of power.
Evening classes are expected to resume unaffected.
