On July 3, at 10:42 a.m., RCMP in West Kelowna received a report of a two-vehicle collision in the intersection of Old Okanagan Highway and Gosset Road.

The driver of a Kia Soul was southbound on Gosset Road when they collided with a Ford Escape which had been eastbound on Old Okanagan Highway. Occupants of both vehicles were medically assessed and subsequently released at the scene by BC Ambulance Service. The occupants were not taken to hospital,” according to RCMP communications officer Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.

“Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene. Investigators believe that the driver of the Kia Soul may have failed to stop for the posted stop sign in the intersection. The 26-year-old Kelowna woman was fined under the BC Motor Vehicle Act.”
