Sooke Road is open again following an early morning crash that knocked power out to more than 1,000 residents.
Westbound traffic on Sooke Road was closed at Ronald Road and vehicles were detoured on Latoria Road due to a motor vehicle crash early Monday morning.
Eastbound traffic was also impacted.
A driver in the 2800-block of Sooke Road hit an unoccupied vehicle, which was pushed forward into a power pole that caused the outage, said Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP media relations officer.
“The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital to get checked out, no serious injuries reported,” she said.
