UPDATED: Man in hospital after early morning Richmond shooting

Reports say a man was hit while riding a motorcycle

A man is in hospital with gun shot woulds following a shooting in Richmond early Sunday morning.

Reports say that the man, in his 30s, was riding his motorcycle when he crashed after being shot at in the 9000 block of Saunders Road just before 1 a.m.

The man, who is “well-known” to police, was taken to hospital but police have decline to comment on his condition.

“We believe that the victim was deliberately targeted,” said Cpl. Dennis Hwang.

“Investigators from the Richmond RCMP Serious Crimes Unit are in the preliminary stages of their investigation”
