UPDATED: Pedestrian hit by vehicle near Douglas and Pandora

Weather, driver error contribution factors in crash

  • Dec. 11, 2018 12:00 a.m.

Traffic on Douglas Street was affected this morning after a pedestrian was struck by a bus.

The incident happened just after 8:20 a.m. near the corner of Pandora Street, a few feet down from City Hall.

The BC Transit bus had been turning southbound onto Douglas.

First responders have since left the area and traffic has returned to normal.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Const. Matt Rutherford said in an email.

“We were called about 8:25 a.m. and investigators believe that weather and driver error were contributing factors,” Rutherford said.

A police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
