Police have cleared the scene at the Victoria courthouse shortly after noon.
A suspicious package caused evacuations at the Victoria court house Monday morning.
Around 10:20 a.m. someone alerted the Victoria Police Department to a package near the courthouse.
B.C. Sherriffs and Victoria police officers patrolled the area, closing off the block to traffic and pedestrians.
After several hours of searching, including with the use of K-9’s, the area was cleared and staff were allowed to return to the building.
More information to come.
We currently are on scene in the area of the court house for a suspicious package that was located outside. Expect traffic delays in the area while we investigate. #yyjtraffic
