UPDATE:
Kenneth Wray has been named as the suspect arrested by Quesnel RCMP officers on July 20, 2018 on Anderson Drive.
Sgt. Chris Riddle tells the Observer Wray was picked up on outstanding warrants. He is currently in police custody.
Wray will appear in Quesnel provincial court on Aug. 14 for charges including wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer and possession of a controlled substance for the July 20 offences.
He’ll also appear in Quesnel court Aug. 14 on an assault charge from an incident in Quesnel in January 2017, as well as breach of probation and failing to appear pursuant to court order.
Wray is additionally scheduled to appear in New Westminster Law Courts in the Lower Mainland on Aug. 13, 2018, on a charge of break and enter and committing an indictable offence stemming from a January 2018 incident.

Quesnel RCMP arrested a man on Anderson Drive July 20.
Six patrol cars were seen on the street at approximately 4:45 p.m.
RCMP have confirmed they have a man in custody who was known to them after he attempted to flee arrest. Bystanders on the scene on Friday told the Observer the suspect had suddenly run from behind Aroma Foods.
Sgt. Chris Riddle says there had been a warrant out for the man’s arrest.
Sgt. Riddle told the Observer he would provide more information on the suspect’s specific charges at a later time. The Observer will update when we know more.
