On Thursday just before 7 a.m. a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of McCallum Road and Millstream Road.
West Shore RCMP said the male pedestrian faced non life-threatening injuries with minor scratches to his face and arms and was transported to hospital in an ambulance.
The vehicle that struck the man was making a left turn from McCallum Road onto Millstream Road and did not see the pedestrian in the crosswalk, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene of the incident and was issued a ticket by West Shore RCMP for failing to yield to a pedestrian on a green light.
“We do have pedestrians and cyclists clipped or struck or bumped into in some fashion in parking lots or in intersections fairly regularly,” Said Sgt. Martin Beardsmore of West Shore RCMP. “One of the things we have out here is the enormous volume of traffic.”
Traffic was also impacted in View Royal Friday morning. Emergency crews were at Atkins Road and Six Mile for a reported two-vehicle crash.
