UPDATED: Wind warning ended for Greater Victoria

Strong winds are expected to return Tuesday

UPDATE: A wind warning issued by Environment Canada for Greater Victoria has ended.

A cold air-mass moving through the Fraser Valley Monday morning generated strong outflow winds with gusts of 90 kilometres per hour.

The wind extended from the Chilliwack and Abbotsford area, through southern Langley and across the Strait of Georgia to affect the southernmost Gulf Islands and Greater Victoria.

According to Environment Canada, the winds are expected to return Tuesday morning.
