The Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit donated $500 to the Salvation Army’s Christmas kettle campaign, Thursday, Nov. 30, but the campaign still needs more community support.
Bazinet said people are still needed to fill about 90 two-hour shifts at the local kettles before Christmas.

Some additional help has already come from the Motorsport Circuit, who are not only supporting the Salvation Army with a financial donation, but also manning the kettle at Canadian Tire for seven days, starting Thursday, Nov. 30.
The Motorsport Circuit is also hosting a Christmas Open House at the motorsport circuit on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The entire Cowichan Valley is invited to visit the circuit, see Santa, enjoy carolers and music, Christmas cookies and treats, go-kart rides for kids, tours of the facility, and a circuit taxi for adults.
Donations to the Salvation Army are encouraged, and the Motorsport Circuit will match those donations.
