Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre moves on to construction-ready designs

The District of Vanderhoof is pleased to announce that the Aquatic Centre Phase 2 Design has begun.

An Aquatic Centre Design Committee, comprised of three members of Council and three members from the public, has been created to work with the architect on preparing construction-ready design document, starting with the “preferred design” produced in December 2013.

Vanderhoof, British Columbia – The District of Vanderhoof is pleased to announce that the Aquatic Centre Phase 2 Design has begun. The Aquatic Centre Design Committee, comprised of three members of Council and three members from the public will work with the architect on Phase 2 to prepare “construction ready design documents”. At the end of the process the District of Vanderhoof will have design documents that will be used during the tendering process.

The design process, or Phase 2, will start with the “preferred design” and through a series of meetings, develop Phase 3 or “final design”. The “construction ready documents” are scheduled to be completed the first week of August 2016.

The tender process, Phase 3, will begin immediately following the commitment of the remaining $6 million.

Council is also pursuing additional funding through grants and from other sources.
