Victoria drivers can expect evening traffic delays on Highway 1

Nighttime road paving will take place from Thursday to Saturday on the Trans-Canada Highway

Drivers on the Trans-Canada Highway can expect delays starting Thursday night and lasting until Saturday.

According to a release sent out by Mainroad South Island Contracting, the company which manages provincial highways on the south Island, there is nighttime paving work scheduled for the Langford and Saanich areas.

The paving will take place in various locations on Highway 1 between Goldstream Provincial Park and McKenzie Avenue in Saanich.

The work is scheduled to occur between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Thursday to Saturday.

All lanes on the highway may be affected and drivers are to expect minor delays.

Motorists are being asked to watch for roadside workers and obey traffic control.
