With the Vancouver Canucks bringing Abbotsford hockey fans to their feet this week, it’s only appropriate to look at the last large-scale Canucks-related celebrations in the city.
And you do have to look back a ways.
The city was grasped with Canucks fever in 2011, as the Sedins led the team all the way to the Stanley Cup Final. Major wins would bring hundreds out to South Fraser Way, with cars blaring horns and fans cheering on their team. With support like that, how could the Canucks lose?
