One driver’s dash-cam catches two dangerous near-misses within three weeks of each other while cruising on Abbotsford roads.
The first video records a pedestrian nearly being struck by two cars while jaywalking across Sumas Way near the Tim Hortons on Dec .7. The second video catches a driver heading directly into oncoming traffic on Nov. 21 after turning left onto Trethewey Street across from the Abbotsford Flea Market.
The dash-cam belongs to Nick Pilon, the creator of two popular local Facebook groups: Fraser Valley Whats Up Now and Abbotsford BC Crime Watch. He said the jaywalker is lucky to be alive.
“Even if he was wearing a safety vest, that was a dangerous thing to try,” Pilon said in a social media post. “That guy needs to go buy a lotto ticket.”
