Harbour Quay and lower Argyle Street was buzzing with holiday cheer on Friday, Nov. 25 for the annual Light Up event.
A giant Christmas Tree was placed and decorated at the Quay, this time bolstered a corner of the covered walkway (last year’s tree, traditionally placed in the fountain in the centre of the Quay, blew over in high winds). Stores stayed open, Santa Claus was there to hear children’s wishes, and retailers offered refreshments to those who celebrated the event with them.
