No one was hurt when a home went up in flames near the U.S. border in Abbotsford Wednesday evening.
Abbotsford firefighters were called to a 2nd Avenue home around 10:30 p.m.
“Crews responded to smoke in the building,” said assistant fire chief Craig Leighton. “When they arrived, they found it heavily charged with smoke [and] with fire from attic area.”
The building is heavily damaged and uninhabitable, Leighton said.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
