Quesnel’s streets turned white with hail just minutes after a severe thunderstorm warning was issued on July 21.
What started as a gentle rain, turned into one minute of torrential pea-sized pieces of ice falling from the sky.
Thunder could be heard in the aftermath, but the storm quickly passed and the sun was shining again.
The severe thunderstorm watch is still in effect.
