Esquimalt resident Stephanie Paltiel and Victoria resident Lindsay Buckshot speak to the challenges of getting an education in the face societal prejudice and mounting financial challenges for young mothers. That is, until they found Artemis Place, a program offering young women and trans youth on-site day care, life-skills training and family support while completing their high-school education.
