Workplace accident
A 50-year-old man was seriously injured in a workplace accident in Murrayville Wednesday afternoon.
At roughly 1:30 p.m., emergency responders were called to a house under construction at 23898 — 40 Ave.
Machinery was involved in the incident and WorkSafeBC engineers responded along with WorkSafeBC Officers to inspect for any mechanical issues and carry out an investigation.
As of Wednesday night, the RCMP were in control of the site.
The injured man was transported to New Westminster’s Royal Columbian Hospital in very serious condition.
