One person was rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a car collided with a semi-trailer truck Monday night in Langley.
Just after 7 p.m., Township of Langley crews were called to the 88th Avenue on-ramp to westbound Hwy. 1 for a report of a motor vehicle accident with a person trapped.
B.C. RCMP traffic services spokesperson Cpl. Mike Halskov said it appeared the car, a Chevrolet Cavalier, pulled in front of the larger truck while both were heading in the same direction on the onramp near near 200 Street.
Crews arrived to find a small car with severe damage on the driver’s side.
Firefighters extricated the car driver, described by Cpl Halskov as a Lower Mainland woman in her 50’s, who was then transported to hospital by ambulance.
No inuries were reported for the truck driver.
Langley RCMP and freeway patrol units closed the on-ramp to traffic while crews dealt with the crash.
