On the darkest weekend of the year, there may be some sunlight for Quesnel residents to enjoy.
With the winter solstice meaning sunlight is in short supply, Environment Canada is forecasting a bright, sunny and mild Sunday. The temperature is expected to reach 5 C, with sun throughout the day.
That’s in stark contrast to Friday and Saturday, where a mix of rain and snow is expected. Wind gusts of up to 50 km/h are expected on Friday night.
Environment Canada’s forecast calls for cooler temperatures as we approach Christmas Eve.
