A fire set to burn slash and other debris on a farm property on the western edge of Abbotsford got out of control early Sunday morning and destroyed at least one piece of machinery before firefighters doused the flames.
The blaze was located on a Downes Road property, west of the intersection with Lefeuvre Road, near the Township of Langley border.
The fire grew out of control and spread over a broad area.
