SURREY — A 14-year-old girl was taken to hospital with minor injuries Monday night after a fight that stemmed from a large house party, police say.
Another girl, also 14, was arrested at the scene but has been released on a Promise to Appear in court.
While early media reports suggest the girl was stabbed, police say they are still investigating the cause of her injuries.
It happened near a Shell gas station at 88th Avenue and King George Boulevard at about 10:15 p.m. A freelance photographer at the scene said dozens of teenagers were screaming and arguing in the parking lot after the incident.
Police say about 100 youth were there. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
