Starting at 5 p.m. Friday (Nov. 23) the South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre is hosting a Holiday Season On-Line auction.
Last year residents purchased holiday gifts for family and friends and proceeds initiated a Team Volunteer Gathering which has been running successfully for a year. Auction proceeds also support volunteer programs, informing residents of where volunteers are needed and promoting volunteerism and its benefits to the community.
The auction runs until 5 p.m. Sunday.
A number of businesses and other groups have donated items or services to the auction including: The Penticton Fire Department is offering a ride to school or work in a fire truck, Area 27 is offering Laps with a professional race car driver, HNZ Topflight Helicopters is offering a scenic tour for four, Rootz Bound Duo is offering two hours of music and Lang Vineyards and Bad Tattoo Brewery are offering exclusive tours of their facilities.
