Water was shut off Friday afterrnoon in the 3000- to 3400-block of Smith Drive in Armstrong for an emergency water line repair, leaving customers without water for over an hour.
City of Armstrong staff have been working on the repair at the corner of Smith Drive and Road since Nov. 8, but water had to be shut off today at 1 p.m. to relieve building pressure on the line.
Water was restored to the affected areas by 2:25 p.m. Friday.
“The city would like to thank residents and business owners for your patience while crews worked to rectify this situation,” the statement from the City of Armstrong read.
