ACTING SCHOOL superintendent Nancy Wells says she isn’t entertaining the idea of taking the job on permanently.

However, she did say she has no plans on leaving any time soon.

“I intend to stay as long as the district needs me,” Wells said.

Wells was brought in as an interim superintendent for the Coast Mountain School District after Rob Greenwood suddenly retired from the position last fall.

School board chair Barry Pankhurst had previously said that keeping Wells on was an option for the district, if she would be willing to stay.

Pankhurst had also said that he hopes the board will have a clear direction on the search set out the next time it meets.

The search for a new secretary treasurer also continues.
