A woman had her licence taken away for 90 days and her vehicle impounded after West Shore RCMP caught her drinking and driving with a baby in the vehicle.
On Sunday, Dec. 3 around 10 p.m., police received a report of a possible impaired driver swerving and slamming into parked cars on Sooke Road in Langford.

When police arrived on scene, witnesses were able to point out the suspect truck. Two women and a small baby were in the vehicle.
After providing a breath sample, the woman determined to be driving was above the legal limit and was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and her vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
The Ministry of Children and Families was also notified.
Const. Matthew Baker is reminding those who do drink this holiday season to plan ahead and find an alternate way home, such as transit, cabs or a designated driver.
He also noted that as part of the holiday season drinking and driving counterattack campaign, police across the region will be increasing roadblocks and sobriety checks.
