A section of the newly completed “Johnston Road Streetscape Revitalization” project was ripped up this month to correct “deficiencies” in the work.
Two sections of the boulevard just north of Russell Avenue were dug out Monday.
City communications manager Farnaz Farrokhi told Peace Arch News via email Monday that a contractor is working this week to correct deficiencies in the project.
“The contractor aims to pour concrete in this area by Wednesday and it should be completed by the end of the week,” Farrokhi wrote.
“Pedestrians are able to walk around the work.”
