A wildfire that sparked at Stuart Creek near Westside Road and the La Casa Resort on Aug. 11 is now under control.
The fire has received sufficient suppression action to ensure no further spread and is burning at less than 0.01 hectares in size, according to the Kamloops Fire Centre.
The fire is located around four to five kilometres southwest of the Westside Road area and an air tanker was on scene to douse the fire. Three BC Wildfire personnel will return today to patrol the fire.
Investigators were on site yesterday, but the cause of the fire is still unknown.
Photos posted to social media on Tuesday showed a helicopter combatting the blaze and smoke rising from the hills just behind a row of homes.
