A 28 year old Abbotsford woman will have to answer to three charges relating to an armed robbery in Aldergrove on August 17.
At approximately 10 a.m. that day, Langley RCMP were called to attend the Booster Juice in Aldergrove to investigate a robbery.
Police allege the female entered the store and went into the washroom where she stayed until other customers had left the building. When she emerged she produced what appeared to be a handgun and pointed it at the clerk. She demanded cash from the till, the clerk complied and the suspect fled the store. She was observed getting into an older white Toyota Camry.
The clerk provided a detailed description of the suspect, her clothing and getaway vehicle to police. The vehicle was entered on police computer systems and was found parked at a liquor store in Abbotsford. The investigating officer also discovered that the driver of the vehicle had been arrested the day prior for an armed robbery in Abbotsford. Based on the physical and clothing description, the investigator was able to link her to the Aldergrove robbery on the day prior. The handgun was found to be an airsoft pistol.
Briana Hanele Gray remains in custody and will next appear in Surrey Provincial Court on August 29. She has been charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and use of an imitation firearm.
