A woman was sent to hospital Saturday morning after being stabbed in Surrey.
On July 4 at about 5:55 a.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing near 81 Avenue and King George Boulevard.
When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old woman with a stab wound. She was taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
Surrey RCMP say the investigation indicated the stabbing was the result of an altercation with someone the woman knew and was not random.
On Monday afternoon, Christine Joanne Pash, 23, was charged with aggravated assault. She appeared in court early this week and is due back in Surrey Provincial Court on July 22.
