The B.C. Coroner Service has confirmed the death of a 30-year-old woman from Calgary on September 14.
On Friday, September 14, The Golden-Field RCMP, the Golden Fire Department and BC Ambulance Services said they were called to an incident south of Golden.
The B.C. Coroners Service is still in the early stages of determining the cause of death and contributing factors as part of their fact-finding investigation.
Due to the privacy of the deceased, the B.C. Coroners Service said they will not release the identity of the deceased as per the Coroners Act and provincial privacy legisliation.
“Crews responded to a report of a structural collapse with a possible entrapment south of town,” said Fire Chief David Balding. “A small building had fallen onto the patient. Paramedics were on scene on arrival of our rescue truck. Our firefighters assisted ambulance personnel with the patient.”
The Golden-Field RCMP has confirmed the incident resulted in a sudden death.
